New Child Care Provider

We are pleased to share that the Edmonton Region Child Care Association (ERCCA) will provide out-of-school care services for children in Grades 1 to 6 at Richard Secord School for the 2026-27 school year. If you wish to express interest in arranging for care or have any questions, please email ERCCA at information@ercca.ca or visit ercca.ca

For those looking for care for their kindergarten student, Richard Secord Out of School Care will continue to offer this service at its second location.

2026 - 2027 Registration

If your child has been accepted into Cogito or French Immersion and will require yellow bus service, please complete your bus application before June 1, 2026. Students in the Regular program are not eligible for yellow bus service.

For the 2026 - 2027 school year, Richard Secord School is full in:

• all classes in the Cogito program from Kindergarten to Grade 6. We will no longer accept enrollment requests for this program. The 2026 - 2027 Cogito waitlist will close on September 30, 2026. No further students will be accepted into 2026 - 2027 Cogito classes after September 30. 
• Kindergarten and Grade 1 classes in the French Immersion program. We will no longer accept enrollment requests for these grade levels in this program.

For the 2025 - 2026 school year, Richard Secord School is full in:

• all classes in the Cogito program from Kindergarten to Grade 6. We will no longer accept enrollment requests for this program. 
• Kindergarten and Grade 4 classes in the French Immersion program. We will no longer accept enrolment requests for these grade levels in this program.
• Grade 3 and Grade 4 classes in the Regular program. We will no longer accept enrollment requests for these grade levels in this program.

If you are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online. Please note your child must be residing in Edmonton at the time of registration.
